Scoopie Squad is a small, local yard-cleanup service in San Gabriel Valley, CA. To scoop your yard on schedule we need a little information about you, your home, and your dogs. Nothing more. This page explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. Questions are always welcome at [email protected].
Using this website or signing up for a plan means you accept what is described here. If any of it doesn’t sit right with you, please don’t send us your information, and email us instead so we can talk it through.
Like every website, ours sits behind servers that keep basic access logs. Those logs record things like your IP address, which browser and device you used, which pages you opened, and when. We use them to keep the site up, spot abuse, and fix things that break.
When you submit a form, your IP address is also sent to Cloudflare as part of the check that tells a real person apart from a bot. That check is the only reason it goes there.
We do not run Google Analytics, advertising pixels, or any other tracker that follows you around the internet. Our own code sets no cookies at all. Cloudflare may set a small number of cookies purely for security, and you can block cookies in your browser settings, though parts of the site may stop working if you do. Because we do no tracking to switch off, our site does not respond to browser Do Not Track signals.
We use your information to:
That’s it. We don’t use your information for anything unrelated to running the service.
When you give us your phone number, you are agreeing that we can text or call you about your service. That means things like confirming your first visit, telling you we are on the way, sending the latched-gate photo when we finish, letting you know if weather pushes your day, and sorting out a billing question. How often depends entirely on how often we are in your yard. Your carrier’s usual message and data rates apply, because the messages arrive like any other text.
Reply STOP to any message and we will stop texting you. You can also change which notifications you get, or switch them to email, in your customer portal, or just email us and we will do it for you. Turning texts off never affects your service; we will simply reach you another way.
Marketing is separate and always your choice. The checkbox for occasional updates and offers is unticked until you tick it, and you can sign up for a plan without ever ticking it. We do not send promotional texts to anyone who has not asked for them.
A few trusted providers help us run the service. Each one receives only what it needs to do its job for us:
We may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect the safety of our team, customers, or their pets.
If this business is ever sold, merged, or handed on to someone else, customer records would go with it, because that is what lets the new owner keep scooping your yard. Whoever takes over would be held to this same policy, and we would tell active customers before anything moved.
Some links on our site lead somewhere else, including your customer portal, which Sweep&Go hosts. Once you land on a site that isn’t ours, their privacy policy is the one that applies, and we can’t answer for how they handle your information.
We never sell your personal information, and we don’t share it with advertisers or data brokers. Your details exist to get your yard clean, nothing else.
We take reasonable steps to keep your information safe. Access is limited to the two of us and to the platforms that need it to do their jobs. Card numbers are handled entirely by Stripe and never reach our systems. Gate codes and lockbox combinations are treated as what they are, keys to your home, and are used only to get into your yard.
We have to be straight with you, though: no website, no company, and no piece of software is completely secure. We can promise care and sensible precautions. We can’t promise that nothing will ever go wrong. If something ever does affect your information, we will tell you promptly and plainly.
We keep your account and service information while your account is active, plus whatever we’re required to keep for tax and accounting records. Visit photos are kept long enough to document recent service and resolve any questions, then deleted. If you close your account, we delete or anonymize the rest within a reasonable time.
You can ask us at any time for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Just email [email protected] from the address on your account and we’ll take care of it. No forms, no hoops.
If you live in California, the CCPA and CPRA give you a firmer version of the same things: the right to know what personal information we have collected about you and where it came from, the right to have it corrected, the right to have it deleted, the right to opt out of its sale or sharing, and the right not to be treated worse for asking. There is nothing to opt out of on the sale front, because we don’t sell or share your information in the way that law means.
One caveat, and it is there to protect you: before we hand over or delete anything, we need to be reasonably sure you are who you say you are. We hold gate codes and lockbox combinations, so we would rather ask you an extra question than give your yard away to someone who guessed your email address. You can also name someone to make a request for you, and we will verify them the same way.
Our service is sold to adults who own homes and dogs. This site isn’t meant for children under 13 and we don’t knowingly collect anything from them. If you think a child has sent us information, email us and we will delete it.
If we make meaningful changes to how we handle your information, we’ll update this page and let active customers know by email before the changes take effect.
